Moderating a Panel with the Valley Film Festival

The Valley Film Festival recently presented their 3-day spring conference, Focus On: The Whole Artist, hosting discussions on a range of topics about personal and career wellness in the film industry. Tricha moderated and spoke on a panel that addressed questions of how to identify toxic situations, create healthy boundaries, and gracefully exit projects.

Other speakers on the panel included actor and producer Michael Piscitelli, filmmaker Alexandra Jimenez, screenwriter Carl Huebner, and author/speaker Valerie Alexander. They discussed how micromanagement is toxic, the importance of checking in with leadership, and how to identify red flags before even stepping onto a set.

The Valley Film Festival is a Los-Angeles based film festival that has run for over 20 years. Their conference series, “Focus On:” identifies and addresses different topics for filmmakers and creatives, bringing in experts and panelists to share strategies and knowledge within the community.
